Director, IT Infrastructure

Our Client is seeking a Director, IT Infrastructure to lead their technology operations. This role requires a strong background in IT infrastructure and hands-on people management of both in-house and remote teams.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (IT-related field preferred); candidates without a bachelor’s degree will not be considered
  • One or more mid-range or premium IT certifications strongly preferred (examples include Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Azure Expert, Cisco CCNA or CCNP, PMP, or CISSP)
  • Direct experience managing in-house and remote IT infrastructure personnel; manufacturing industry experience is highly desirable
  • Clear understanding that people management is the primary focus of the role
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, including occasional travel to Mexico (passport required or ability to obtain one; must be able to travel freely in and out of the US)
  • Ability to serve on-call rotations of one week at a time, approximately once every six weeks
  • Ability to work on-site with no more than two work-from-home days per week
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening that includes THC
  • Must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future

Ideal Candidate Profile

Our Client is looking for a proven IT infrastructure leader who values stability, has a track record of managing teams effectively, and is prepared to commit to a thorough hiring process. Candidates with a history of frequent job changes or those coming from non-infrastructure IT disciplines (such as software development, MES, informatics, or ERP) will not be considered. Overqualified applicants (e.g., VP, CIO, or Senior Director level) are not a fit for this position.
